Nepal? India?

Why do so many people confuse Nepal as being a part of India? Nepal has never been a part of any other country as far as I know. They weren't even controlled by Grt. Britain while INdia was. The cultures are somewhat similar, so what? Here're the facts: Buddha was born in NEpal, Mt. EVerest is in Nepal not in India. ANd I"m apalled to see some Indians saying NEpal should just be a part of India. That's never gonna happen. I have many Nepalese friends and they love the fact that thier country was never occupied by any other nations.

Legal to have airsoft gun in car with no red tip?

I have an airsoft pistol under my drivers seat in a case. I have removed the red tip, so it looks realistic to a Glock 19. Is this legal to do? It's not like I would ever pull it on a cop. If a cop ever asked if I had a weapon in the car, I would explain it. It is actually broken too, but I just wanted to see what what happen if they ran into it whether I told them it was there or they found it by search.. I'm in Texas as well.

Why do guys act like this?

He is 25 years old. No matter how nice I am to him (we have mutual friends) its always followed with "I hate you!" Or "eff' you!" Or "shut the 'eff up!" I'm not sure how to deal with him. My friend says he's naturally just a mean person and that I should ignore him, but I can't help defending myself. I just want to better understand what in god's name is his problem. Hubby and I recently took up carpet in the spare room , I was thinking the floor was probably ruined under the carpet but it turns out that it's really in good shape. There doesn't appear to be any varnish or polyurethane on the floor and there are a few paint smears that are fairly faint .....what can I do to remove the paint smears besides sanding the whole floor?

A question for agnostics/atheists?

My parents are both adamant Christians, and due to my ytical nature, I'm just prone to atheism. We argue (respectfully) about a lot of things, and even though this difference creates a barrier in some ways, it's starting to evince in more areas as I grow older. I will always respect their beliefs, but I feel as of late that this gesture is not mutual. For example: My uncle is forty something years old, and it's obvious on several occasions that he's slept with his girlfriend of three years. What seems perfectly normal to me, my parents refer to as 'insulting to the family, especially to my grandparents'. I don't see how a grown man having a private life is insulting, and when I mentioned that I would sleep with someone I was in a long term relationship with (but not formally married to) I got the same reaction. My parents believe that by sleeping with someone, I would be dishonoring them, when I reminded them that once I am an adult, it's really not even any of their concern. It all seems so entirely unreasonable to me.

I have a couple girlfriends who are into anime and live action does nothing for them even though they are in healthy relationships with real people. I don't think it matters since everyone has their own tastes and neither is right or wrong. As long as it's not hurting you or otherwise affecting whatever relationship you have with the other person, why does it bother you so much what they like or don't?

Is there any reason to ever use 'heavy duty' batteries?

I tried heavy duty batteries in my remotes and got a whopping 2 weeks out of them. They were half the price but I think the alkaline last 4 times longer. Is there any reason to get heavy duty?

Is a 17 month old too old to be nursing?

My sister in law still nurses her 17 month old daughter quite often during the day. I do see the child eat gerber graduates pick-up food and #2 and #3 baby food also given to her at lunch time. Usually breakfast and snacks are all nursing. The girl has a mouth full of teeth and we are a little concerned. We have brought the subject up tactfully and we get shot down defensively, lol. She says, "She's MY child and I'll nurse her as long as I want to." The weird thing is that my neice walks up to her now and asks for numb-numbs while pulling at her shirt.
