Have you ever heard of a someone liking anime over live action ?

I have a couple girlfriends who are into anime and live action does nothing for them even though they are in healthy relationships with real people. I don't think it matters since everyone has their own tastes and neither is right or wrong. As long as it's not hurting you or otherwise affecting whatever relationship you have with the other person, why does it bother you so much what they like or don't?
