What do you think about people that are mean or unkind to the shy and vulnerable but?

quite friendly to those who are talkative just like themselves? The shy person is very obviously shy not stuck up but these outgoing people will be very nice to each other but sort of mean and act superior to the quiet person? I don't really get it. They will hurt the socially weaker person because it makes them feel good or something? And the only solution to get them to treat you respectfully is to become like them but you resent them so why would you want to be like them in the first place? You think they are ugly inside so why do you want to conform to their way of being in the world? I am becoming such a misanthrope..
