Is he playing hard to get? and why?

I hooked up with a guy a couple of times. I really like him.But I talk to him. He told me he was someone. Yet I have him on friends of Facebook and no pic of the other guy not even pic of other guy on bearwww ( a gay bear/chub/cub dating site) profile. The only pics are ones of him. I manage to hook up with again the other day. He also called me with affectionate names like shorty as well as being overtly affectionate with me. He was asking of my plans for later on.He didn't show any pics guy on his phone. He know I like him enough to start something with him. Is he playing hard to get because I came on a little too strong or some jerk before me had hurt him? I realize I can be happy with or without him. If he wanted me all himself then why can't just be straight-forward with me and not play these silly games with me?
