Minimum legal age to gamble?

i live in new jersey and im gona be 18 in a month and i want to play online poker for real money at http://www.pokerstars.com/about/responsible-gaming/faq/ it says You need to be 18 or the minimum legal age to play online poker in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater. how do i find out if my jurisdiction allows 18 year olds ?
