Questions about leeches.....?

leeches live in moist environments they are attracted to the heat from your body. the ones in the water they just swim threw the water they don't really care where just to get to you but they don't hurt you besides drinking your blood but where there is one there are going to be a lot more. i don't think there is anything that would keep them away but i know they don't like rubbing alcohol or vinegar so really it might help if you poured some into the water? it would make me feel better about going into the water if i had a problem with them. if you get them on you again just dip a q tip in some rubbing alcohol or vinegar then rub it onto the head of the leech.
